This fixture was designed to sense assembled components to a main part using diffuse-photoelectric and mechanical switches, acting as a "go/no go" fixture. If components were sensed, air clamps would clamp part to fixture.

A Thomson shaft assembly would then attach another component to the part. When a diffuse-photoelectric sensed the component was installed, the clamps released the part.
